The technologization of everyday life is advancing rapidly, spreading across many spheres—both at the societal and individual levels. Music, too, is undergoing profound shifts and transformations, some of which are already audible: for (IN)habitants, Georgia Koumará creates a transhumanist ecosystem in which musicians, objects, and electronics interact and coexist—an ecosystem whose composition and structure are reshaped for every performance. Taking as its starting point a present in which bodies and thoughts are already shaped by technology and information algorithms, this modular composition explores the deepening entanglements between human and machine, while also examining the social dependencies, inequalities, and power structures that accompany them. In AUTO FICTION, Alexander Schubert combines autobiographical material with AI processes to construct an augmented archive of his own memories—a kind of “collective unconscious” of cultural data—in which the boundaries between documentation and fiction increasingly blur. Alex Mincek has been commissioned by the Music Biennale Zagreb to compose a new work for ensemble.

The technologization of everyday life is advancing rapidly, spreading across many areas of existence—both at a societal level and on an individual scale. Music, too, is facing upheavals and processes of transformation; these are already audible, in part, within the works of Georgia Koumará, Alexander Schubert, and Alex Mincek.
